During 6 lessons in the period of September-December, we study various works from the baroque period. The choice of pieces depends on the size of the ensemble, for example, works by Corelli, Handel and Telemann. We will end the course with one or more performances by the students and the teachers.
The lessons are suitable for the following instruments:
Recorder, oboe, flute, violin (viola), cello, viola da gamba, bassoon, harpsichord.
There may be opportumities for some advanced singers. Pianists are welcome to play the harpsichord.
The required playing level includes: being able to study pieces independently, playing rhythmically stable, being able to tune your instrument yourself, having experience playing together, being able to read up to 4 sharps and 4 flats.
During the course, attention is paid to ensemble, articulation, ornamentation and intonation (tuning), appropriate to the music of the baroque era.
Depending on the registrations, the course can be given in modern tuning (440 Hz) or in old tuning (415 Hz).
