Harp
Kyra Frimout started taking harp lessons at the age of 6 at the music school in Nuenen, near Eindhoven, with Inge Frimout-Hei. During this period, she played in Inge's harp orchestra, the Blue Planet Harp Ensemble.
When Kyra was 15 years old, she started taking lessons at the School for Young Talent at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with teacher Ernestine Stoop. Kyra has since obtained her Bachelor of Classical Music from the Royal Conservatory. In addition to the harp, Kyra also takes singing lessons with, among others, Irene Verburg and Catrin Wyn-Davies at the conservatory. She often combines their two techniques. Kyra regularly gives performances on theharp; she plays together in harp ensembles, including harp sextet de Harp Sirens, both at home and abroad, and she gives performances with harp and vocals.
